Auditions where you don’t get a chance to show your talent…
To become a singer in London, one could always attend a lot of auditions, however in most cases before you have even been given the chance to showcase your talent, you’ve already been prejudged on your looks before you start singing. You could be the most gifted singer in the world but if your look isn’t what they are after, it’s all over before you’ve even begun. Trying out for auditions one after the other can start to bring you down, and if you’re not living near a major city, it can start to get quite pricey traveling to get to them.

One person might give up on their goal, and 20 years later be remorseful of the fact they didn’t make the most of what they could have when they were younger
Another could try to get some kind of entertainment work on TV, trying out for auditions and posting out demos. But we know that even for the most gifted singers this doesn’t guarantee success
Probably the best method though is to just get out there, perform, build yourself up and gradually allow people to discover you, there are no shortcuts to true lasting success.

If you’re not wanting worldwide stardom, there is plenty of work available from people, bars and events, etc looking to hire a good singer who are sick of paying for average singers. The payment can be quite decent too.
